The Lahontan cutthroat is the largest growing trout native to North America. These fish are indigenous to the tributaries of what was once Lake Lahontan, a huge ice-age lake, of which Pyramid Lake and Lake Tahoe are remnants.
After Jon W. caught this beauty (one of many Lahontan cutthroat he has caught in Pyramid Lake), he had a concept of a wall mount display that featured 2-3 cutthroat replicas painted to represent fish he caught in this famous fishing lake. He knew the only guy that had the experience and “artistic-eye” to create a fish art wall display that he would be proud to feature in his home was Luke Filmer of Blackwater Fish Replicas.
Luke designed a custom high desert lake-bed interpretive wall mount display.
